Sue K. Miller
Sue K. Miller, age 83, of Sullivan, Missouri passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 surrounded by her family.
Sue Katherine was born on May 29, 1936 in Norwood, Missouri, the daughter of C.G. (Doc) and Clara E. (Hartley) Bartle. She was united in marriage to Roy A. Miller on September 21, 1953 and they were blessed with two daughters, Connie and Rhonda. Sue was employed by the former International and Midwest Shoe Companies, and for 12 years at Paco in Sullivan, Missouri. Sue was known as “Gee” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She doted on all of them and enjoyed spending time with them. She and Roy loved to travel and visited all the Springs in Missouri. They also loved to take long drives in the country, admiring all of nature’s beauty. Sue enjoyed reading, was an excellent baker and seamstress. Her family fondly remembers their many breakfasts at Meramec State Park on Sunday mornings. Sue was very loved by her family and she will be missed.
Sue is survived by two daughters, Connie Scott of Sullivan, MO and Rhonda Lee and husband Timothy of O’ Fallon, MO; two grandchildren, Tyler Scott and wife Becky of Springfield, MO and Katherine Lee and fiancé Jackson of O’Fallon, MO; one great-grandchild, Zachariah Scott; a special sister-in-law, Mary Miller and brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Mary Jane Miller; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was proceded in death by her parents; and brother, Hammie.
The family would like to thank Alternative Hospice for their love and care through the past few months.
A memorial service was conducted 12 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, officiated by Pastor Chester Lahmann.
The Miller family received friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, at the Eaton Funeral Home.
