Sandra M. Sharp

Sandra M. Sharp, 78, of Bourbon, Missouri passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.

Sandra “Sandy” Marie Sharp was born July 16, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri to Marion and Edith (Molitor) Suenders. Sandy grew up in House Springs, MO and attended Northwest High School. While attending high school, she met Robert Sharp when he was on leave from the Marines.  It was a whirlwind romance and the two were married on February 11, 1961, when he returned home to Missouri after finishing active duty.

The young couple moved to High Ridge, MO where Sandy began her life as a homemaker. While living in High Ridge they were blessed with two daughters, Valerie and Robyn.  Soon after Robyn was born they moved near Anaconda where they raised their family for the next thirty years.  Sadly, Robert passed in 2001 shortly after the couple moved to Bourbon.  It was in Bourbon a few years later that Sandy met Gary Peters who became her lifelong partner until her passing.  Sandy was a dedicated homemaker who loved to shop.  She was the fashion guru of the family and often matched from head to toe with all the jewelry, shoes, and other accessories matching.  When she was shopping for clothes and jewelry she was searching for the next perfect knickknack to add to her collection.  Sandy was a sweet, sensitive, and cheerful person who loved her family, friends, and any animal, especially cats and dogs.

Sandy is survived by her life partner of over 20 years, Gary Peters; two daughters: Valerie Wakefield and her husband, Travis, of Hollister, MO and Robyn Black of Bourbon; a brother, Ronald Suenders and wife, Sandy, of Washington, MO; 5 grandchildren: Heather Pack, Nathaniel Wakefield, Calvin Wakefield, Brittany Bishop, and Zachery Brnich; cherished and loved as daughters, Daylene Roller-Ziegler and Robin Dace; 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Edith; and her husband Robert.

Services will be 12:00 P.M., Monday, February 13, 2023 at Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Fern Nye officiating.  Burial will follow at the Bourbon Cemetery in Bourbon, MO.

Visitation will be Monday, February 13, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Eaton Funeral Home.
