Peace Of Mind Owner Indicted, Arrested Friday

Scott Arnold-Micke, who owns Peace of Mind locations in Cuba, Park Hills, Rolla and Sullivan, was indicted Wednesday by a US District Court.

Arnold-Micke faces one count of transportation of minors to engage in any criminal sex act.

Arnold-Micke was arrested Friday at his home in Rolla.

The Daily Journal reported that the indictment alleges that around spring 2018 and through fall 2020, Arnold-Micke knowingly transported a child that was less than 12 years old in “interstate or foreign commerce” with the intent of the juvenile engaging in sexual activity.

The assault “was not an isolated incident” that police reports and statements provide “potential evidence” that Arnold-Micke “has continuously sexually assaulted at least six other minors.”

Some of the reports of sexual assault involve Arnold-Micke traveling into Illinois, Michigan, Hawaii, Nevada, Florida, Arkansas and Tennessee, according to reporting by the Daily Journal.

The Daily Journal said the indictment contains minimal details of the allegations, but the motion for pre-trial detention mentions one alleged instance where the victim sought medical treatment in Hawaii after Arnold-Micke “reportedly knocked teeth out of their mouth for refusing to engage in sexual intercourse.”

The Phelps County Focus reported that one of Rolla’s two Peace of Mind stores were raided by the FBI early Friday morning.

Arnold-Micke, a convicted felon, was in allegedly in possession of a firearm.

In August 2018, Arnold-Micke was arrested and charged after his store in Sullivan was raided by law enforcement regarding the sale of CBD oil.

The charges were dropped a year later.

In August 2020, Arnold-Micke filed a lawsuit against the law enforcement agencies that raided the store.

A settlement was reached in March 2022.
